AJ Anderson, Senior SEO and Content Marketing Project Manager
Since a young age, I have had a drive to create and a love of learning. Legos became electronics, which was my first job outside of food service. I left to join the military, where my calibration career allowed be to apply geometry, algebra, and trigonometry to a science which was also an art. My college jobs were always work-to-learn opportunities for me in a variety of disciplines, including entrepreneurship. College was always about the knowledge, and the grades just followed. After college, I discovered marketing, which fueled my love of people, technology, and business. I’ve worn many marketing hats, but I’ve always held on to my love for SEO and content marketing.
What’s your average day like at Oneupweb?
My average day includes a ton of variety, which I love. I get to perform technical/analytical tasks and creative tasks for clients in numerous verticals. It’s fantastic to dive into our client’s businesses to help reach their customers. I get to craft high-level strategy and implement specific tactics, as well as perform quality research and problem solving.
What is your best trait and how do you use it to help your colleagues and clients?
An analytical creativity. No, seriously. I love to look at challenges from a new perspective and help develop solutions best suited for everyone to win together.
What do you like most about Oneupweb?
The people. Both our clients and my teammates. They make it a joy to come to work with consummate professionalism with a fun-loving, supporting, and healthy environment.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I love spending time with family. We’re trying to get a ton of camping in while the kids are young, and there’s so many great things to do outdoors in northern Michigan. Hiking and kayaking are great ways to explore some of its beauty. Sailing and scuba diving are some of the latest activities we’re adding to the mix.
What are life’s simple pleasures?
Snuggling up with a kid to read a book or watch a movie. Enjoying some of our favorite homemade foods and beverages. Seeing a child’s eyes light up in wonder.
