Cameron Benak, Associate Account Manager

I was born and raised right here in Traverse City, Michigan, graduating from Northwestern Michigan College with an associate’s degree in Accounting along with extra credits in general business, marketing and advertising. Out of college, I got a job as a sales assistant at the local news station, TV 7&4, where I created client pitch presentations and did market research and order entry. I met [Oneupweb CEO] Fernando as I was exploring new career opportunities and loved everything I heard about Oneupweb! Eventually, the position of Associate Account Manager became available and “the rest is history.”

What’s your average day like at Oneupweb?

An average day for me is helping the other AMs with whatever they might need. Joining meetings as a second set of ears, creating tasks for the rest of the team, reviewing blogs and starting proposals. I also run the Bio Bidet TikTok account, so I’m doing something with TikTok every day. I’ll either be posting content, editing content for approval, brainstorming ideas or keeping up with the latest trends.

What is your best trait and how do you use it to help your colleagues and clients?

I’m always up for a challenge and willing to learn new things.

What do you like most about Oneupweb?

The people! Everyone at Oneupweb is amazing, hardworking and incredible at what they do.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

My biggest hobby is disc golf. I’m a semi-professional disc golfer who travels around Michigan and the surrounding states to play tournaments during spring, summer and fall. Winters are filled with a lot of not wanting to leave the house and playing the occasional video game (I’m not a big fan of the cold and snow).

What are life’s simple pleasures?

Early morning rounds of disc golf. No people, no noise and no worries.

Describe yourself in three words?

Hardworking, Competitive, Fun
