Meet Teddy & Bianca, Oneupweb’s Famous Office Dogs

Posted on in Blog

If you’ve ever had the good fortune to receive a presentation from Oneupweb, you’ll have almost certainly paused on the last slide. Every PowerPoint deck we’ve made over the past few years is capped with a glamorous photo of our Chief Barketing Officer (CBO), Teddy Meza. His meteoric rise within the company is the subject of an upcoming John Carreyrou book, Blue Collar.

Working dogs like Teddy and his C-suite colleague Bianca have changed the way dogs work for a living.

Let’s meet Teddy and Bianca …

Teddy Meza, Chief Barketing Officer

What’s your average day like at Oneupweb?

I prefer to start early at home. I typically spend the first hour of my day reviewing project updates from our distributed teams. This helps shape my instructions for the rest of the leadership team. After a quick run and 30 minutes of Tai chi, I have my driver, Fernando Meza (no relation), take me to the office. The commute is a great time to catch up with clients – and bounce ideas back and forth with other power players.

What do you like most about Oneupweb?

The dynamism. We’ve studied several management theories and have developed a bespoke system for aligning teams. You’ll be able to learn more about it in my upcoming podcast on Apple Music, All Ears and Four Legs.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I enjoy supporting my philanthropic projects, including an advocacy organization dedicated to banning toilet lids in homes with one or more dogs.

What are life’s simple pleasures?

Few things are as breathtakingly satisfying as enjoying a tall pour of Michter’s on the back porch while the family plays in the yard. I still see myself as an unpretentious, blue-collar working dog; it’s not all about the money or fame.

Describe yourself in three words.

Dependable, enigmatic, kind.

Bianca Meza, Chief Information Pawficer

What’s your average day like at Oneupweb?

Every day is different. My role is to support the organization’s technical infrastructure and ensure processes are followed. Most of the time, it’s telling designers to “turn it off and turn it back on” so they can doodle in MS Paint, but there are more stressful situations that require my attention and skill.

What do you like most about Oneupweb?

Oneupweb is an excellent place to meet interesting people. I’ve made great friends there and those relationships extend far behind the office.

Would you care to comment on your relationship with Teddy?

As we’ve said before, it’s platonic. We’re very close. We live together. But it’s not what people think.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I love to travel. Traverse City is a beautiful place to live, but I adore the French Riviera; Monaco is a personal favorite of mine.

What are life’s simple pleasures?

Walking in the woods with a close friend.

Describe yourself in three words.

Professional, uncomplicated, loyal.

Teddy and Bianca are Russian Tsvetnaya Bolonkas. In addition to their work for Oneupweb, they’ve worked (like dogs) to trailblaze employment opportunities for canines worldwide.
