Website Design and Development Snapshot: Windemuller

Posted on in Case Studies

In early 2021, Windemuller, a Michigan-based electrical and design-build contractor, set their sights on a new website. With Oneupweb’s help, we successfully launched a new website that showcases their variety of services.

The Problem:

Windemuller needed a modern, easy-to-navigate website that made their services easy to understand. With nearly 100 core pages explaining their specialties, our search engine optimization and content marketing team was eager to get started on that task while our developers and designers started creating.

Their website speeds were down, making Google unhappy, and their content lacked structure and CTAs, keeping users confused.

Scope of Work

Strategy

The Windemuller team acknowledged that their service pages needed an overhaul. Oneupweb helped them identify opportunities to streamline their services section and make sure it accurately represents Windemuller’s capabilities. The Oneupweb team also conducted extensive research to ensure that high-opportunity keywords are targeted throughout the new website.

Meanwhile, Oneupweb’s talented design and development teams worked closely with Windemuller to create a new website that’s appealing, easy to navigate, and conveys Windemuller’s brand and values. Each page cross-links to related content, making it easy for the user to learn more about Windemuller’s many services and past projects. And with calls-to-action baked into each page, it’s easy for the user to contact Windemuller directly to ask questions or discuss an upcoming project.

Oneupweb’s photography team spent a day shooting job sites, work vans, and personnel for Windemuller. The photos they took provide the new website with fresh imagery portraying Windemuller’s branding, scope of services, and strong work ethic.

Our Results

When the opportunity arose to work with a Michigan-based company to create their dream website, our team was eager to get started. Making connections with local businesses is very important to our agency.

Since the website launched on December 2, the domain has seen increases in organic impressions and clicks. Organic sessions to the website have increased more than 37%, while the bounce rate dropped 25% and pages per session and average session duration both increased more than 26% (versus the previous 12-day period pre-launch).

The new site is faster, more accessible, and more user-friendly than the old website. Here are a few highlights of the new homepage’s performance (from Lighthouse):

Best Practices: 100/100

Accessibility: 98/100

SEO: 93/100

Our team was thrilled to have been chosen during this competitive process, but we’re more thrilled with how happy Windemuller is with the final project, and we’re excited to see where this partnership takes us.

“I’ve had numerous people let me know that the website looks great! A BIG thank you goes out to the Oneupweb crew for helping us revamp our site, it looks amazing!”
